Grants and Community Relations Officer (Full Time) 40 hours Supervisor: General Manager Purpose: Assist General Manager with governmental and public relations for the District. Use communication tools and scientific understanding to explain the vision, goals, and programs of the District. Develop and coordinate grant-funded District research and development. Market District services. Essential Duties:
General Description: Work with a diverse group of motivated individuals. Investigate, apply for, and secure grants for proposed improvement projects for the District. Monitor and evaluate grant funded programs. Develop goals and objectives with diverse groups to be able to outline needs and uses for grant funds. Direct tours of District facilities, make presentations at staff, board, and other meetings, conferences, and seminars. Promote way and means for meeting future needs of the District. Minimum Requirements: A four-year degree in one or more of the following: Biology/Geology/Chemistry/Engineering; and three or more years of experience in: grant writing, government relations; water resources management, and/or state/local government operations. Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Database experience is desired. Salary will be Dependent on Qualifications.
