The District promotes physical activity in the work place by offering two-10 minutes breaks each day to stretch, relax and walk briskly. The District also offers various fitness challenges throughout the year including:
• Individual and Team Walking Challenges – based on pedometer steps
• Summer Fitness Challenge – based on various wellness tasks
• Local Walks/Runs Challenges – based on community calendar
• Other Challenges – based on current trends and needs
The District’s Nutrition component offers free fruit each week for alternative healthy
snacks. A website for employee’s to share recipes and nutritional information is also
provided and various nutrition challenges are offered throughout the year:

• Healthy Dessert Challenge – based on baking contest
• Biggest Loser Challenge – based on weight loss
